Malaria is a disease that is entirely preventable. It is a parasite this is transmitted to humans through the bite of an anopheles mosquito, which feeds only at night. “Nothing but Nets” was started a few years ago to provide nets under which individuals could safely sleep under. At that time, the death rate for malaria in Africa was one every 30 seconds. As of today, the death rate has been cut in half to one every 60 seconds. We are making a difference. We know that through prevention, education, communication and treatment, this disease can be eradicated!
